Ash Vale, Surrey, Royaume-Uni - Décembre 2011: Allied Motion présente son DynaMax 25, un nouveau moteur innovant à faible inertie, à rotor sans fer à feuille de Cuivre haute densité et un aimant en terre rare NdFeB d’une puissance sans précédent, le meilleur dans sa catégorie rapport couple/dimensions aux performances d’accélérations extrêmement élevées. Disponible en France et en Angleterre chez Mclennan Servo Supplies, ce moteur de 12 ou 24 volts CC de 25mm de diamètre dispose d’un couple de démarrage de 400 mNm, d’un couple nominal de 35 mNm à une vitesse nominale de 7700 t/mn et d’un temps de réponse aux accélérations de l’ordre de 4 msec.
Le DynaMax 25 satisfera toutes les applications où la taille compacte, les nombreux démarrages, les vitesses en douceur et les performances sont requises. Avec son encodeur OE22 haute-résolution 200 ppt, le DynaMax 25 sera le compagnon idéal des applications nécessitant une haute précision comme les machines pour semi-conducteurs, les équipements pour l’électronique et les équipements médicaux, toutes les versions avec encodeurs conviendront aux pompes et vannes de précision mais aussi à l’outillage à main, les actionneurs miniatures, etc...
Le moteur dispose d’une longévité accrue grâce à son système de commutation à balais carbone et sa conception rotor sans fer au cogging nul qui permet une parfaite régulation de vitesse. - Integrated brushless motor, all-digital drive and encoder with optional CANopen or Modbus provides neat solution for linear/rotary actuators & stages, conveyors, simple distributed systems and more.
Ash Vale, Surrey, UK - September 2011: Allied Motion's recently launched EnduraMax 75i integrated brushless servo motor-drive is now available from Mclennan Servo Supplies. Combining a high power density 75 mm diameter brushless DC motor, an integrated all-digital drive and a 4096 count magnetic encoder, the feature-rich EnduraMax 75i motor-drive has both +/- 10 VDC or 4...20 mA command inputs or can be controlled via optional CANopen or Modbus allowing flexibility with system interfacing. The neatly packaged solution for torque, speed and/or position control is available in a choice of three frame lengths and voltages of 12, 24 and 48 VDC for continuous rated torque up to 1 Nm and speeds to 3900 rpm.
The EnduraMax 75i will be of interest to both OEMs and End Users as a competitively priced automation component for linear and rotary actuators, and for simple distributed motion systems such as parts transport or spacing conveyors. The integrated motor-drive will also be of benefit for machine upgrades - replacing similar sized brushed DC servo motors with much higher dynamic performance together with longer life, reduced maintenance and quieter operation. Its low voltage operation and high motor efficiency will also be of significance for battery powered applications.
Set-up for current, velocity or position loop and motor tuning is made straightforward using the built-in RS232 communications port and the supplied PC-based IN Control HMI software. The port can also be used for direct position indexing or users may index via optional CANopen or Modbus. A complement of 6 inputs and 3 outputs are programmable for limit switches, drive enable, drive fault etc.
The integrated motor-drive carries full drive electronics protection including over voltage, short circuit and reverse voltage, with I2T and Class F (155 °C) rated motor windings. The robust and durable anodised motor and drive housing has IP50 protection class as standard with heavy duty bearings and separate D-type connectors for motor power, encoder and I/O; with a third connector for the optional Fieldbus interface.
Other options include a temperature activated cooling fan for higher power capability, holding brake, customised shaft and/or mounting, IP67 protection, sealed bearings, and a low power sleep mode that is especially useful for battery powered applications. The Allied Motion EnduraMax family also includes an integrated brushless DC drive-motor for unidirectional speed control only. The EnduraMax 75s is ideal for mobile HVAC systems, liquid and gas pumps, fans and blowers, compressors, constant speed conveyor drives, and similar applications. |

Ash Vale, Surrey, UK - June 2011: Mclennan has expanded its range of precision brushless DC motors that feature integrated drives with the introduction of a new five-wire version of the 24 mm diameter Kinetimax 24 EB from Allied Motion Technologies. Previously available with two-wire brushless control in separate clockwise and counter-clockwise versions, the new motor includes speed adjustment and direction reversal inputs plus an 18 pulse per rev' speed monitoring output.
With a nominal length of just 26 mm, the extremely compact motor design includes a low-cog outer rotor with an iron core for particularly smooth speed performance whilst robust precision bearings allow high radial shaft loads. Available in 6, 12 or 24 VDC versions with rated power output of up to 2.7 W, the impressive motor specification includes a continuous torque output of up to 6 mNm at a nominal speed of 4300 RPM.
The new Kinetimax 24 EB complements a range of larger integrated drive equipped brushless motors from Allied Motion and available from Mclennan. The complete range now covers diameters of 24 mm, 32 mm, 54 mm and 68 mm, in two- and five-wire control versions, that provide precision speed control for medical dispensing, laser scanning, high performance fans and pumps, and other exacting applications where fine motion control, long life and high reliability is essential.
The brushless and contact free construction of the Kinetimax 24 EB ensures an extremely long working life and the drive electronics include reverse polarity and over current protection. For lower speed and higher output torque, Mclennan can supply this motor with a choice of spur or planetary gearboxes to suit application requirements. Further options include customised shafts, mounting flanges, winding and connector configurations. |

New range of flexible intelligent microstepping drives Email - or |
Ash Vale, Surrey, UK - May 2011: Mclennan Servo Supplies has launched a new range of cost effective intelligent microstepping drives from the USA drive specialist Applied Motion Products, The flexible STAC5 series feature advanced algorithms for extended dynamic performance and flexible motion control options including a choice of step &direction, PC or PLC host control, and full featured multitasking programmable control.
The compact panel-mount STAC5 series is designed for straightforward integration into motion control systems with direct-on-line power at nominal voltages of 120V AC and 220V AC with a maximum of 5 Amps per phase to suit 23 and 34 frame NEMA stepper motors. A 100 Mbit Ethernet communication port is included to configure the drive with self test and auto setup as well as support streaming of individual commands or full program upload and download. An encoder feedback option is also available that provides position verification and combines with a stall detection and stall prevention feature that allows selectable levels of position maintenance.
The STAC5 has a number of current control features that help deliver improved motor performance. The Anti Resonance algorithm improves midrange stability allowing higher speeds, faster settling times and improved torque whilst Torque Ripple Smoothing greatly improves low speed dynamic performance. The Command Signal Smoothing algorithm reduces jerk which can help reduce wear on mechanical transmission components. In addition, the Microstep Emulation feature converts low resolution step pulses from a controller into microstep resolution pulses at the motor, vastly improving smoothness.
The STAC5 series is available with a choice of two controller options. The S controller allows step & direction interfacing from any third party controller and can also be software configured for run-stop operation where built in analogue and digital I/O can toggle speeds or provide a joystick control interface. The S controller and the more powerful Q controller will both accept serial commands over Ethernet from a PC or a PLC for multi-axis control. For full standalone programmable control, the Q controller uses Applied Motion Product's powerful Q language with high level features that include multi-tasking, conditional programming and maths functions. The Q version is able to download, store and execute programs from a host or directly from the Q Programmer GUI which allows straightforward motion and machine I/O programming from a PC. The S controller includes 4 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs and 1 analogue input. The Q controller has 12 digital inputs, 6 digital outputs and 1 analogue output. |

Ash Vale, Surrey, UK - March 2011: A new optical encoder for harsh environment use with an integrated fibre optic transmitter and separate receiver that makes position and speed feedback over extremely long distances possible and offers excellent EMC resilience is available from Mclennan Servo Supplies.
The new XHI 801 Optolink is part of the 'Heavy Duty' 800 series from Leine & Linde, the Swedish encoder specialist and in addition to long distance signal transmission of up to 1500 metres, the XHI 801 Optolink is unaffected by electromagnetic disturbances and has excellent galvanic insulation between the transmitter and receiver. These characteristics make the encoder well suited to remote monitoring applications such as speed and blade pitch position for wind turbines or robotic manipulation positioning in hazardous areas. Other interesting areas of use will include EMC sensitive motion control and where control systems may be susceptible to lightning strikes such as cranes and hoists.
The hollow shaft incremental encoder is available in a wide choice of angular resolutions from 500 to 10000 pulses per rev and features both optically transmitted and HTL, TTL or RS-422 electrical signals that may used together for both short distance servo control and long distance position monitoring. The separate receiver accessory converts the optically transmitted information into HTL or RS 422 level signals.
The XHI 801 Optolink is a ruggedised industrial grade encoder with IP67 ingress protection and a very high resilience to shock and vibration. With ceramic bearings, stainless steel hollow shaft and durable anodised aluminium housing, the encoder offers an extremely long life with low maintenance over an operational temperature range of -40ºC to + 80ºC. Other Leine & Linde 800 series encoders available from Mclennan include ATEX versions, extra robust versions with HTL, TTL or RS422 electrical output, units with built-in advanced diagnostics for extreme levels of safety and reliability, and dual redundancy versions. |
