Premotec 9904 111 series reversible AC Synchronous Motors provide fixed speed operation ideally suited to a wide range of control and instrumentation applications. The units low speed, either 250 or 500 rpm, ensure low mechanical noise and smooth operation when used with additional gearing in low speed drives. The Premotec 9904 111 series motors may be specified with a wide range of factory fitted gearheads where increased torque and reduced operating speed is required. Gearheads for the 35mm and 51mm options provide a choice of standard ratios with output speed options from 1 revolution per second down to 1 revolution per hour, whilst the high torque 56mm models may be fitted with gearheads providing speeds down to 30 revolutions per hour.

The MV86111 Series is a low speed permanent magnet AC synchronous motor suitable for applications requiring accurate fixed speed drives. The Premotec 9904 111 31813 series low speed AC Synchronous Motor is a development of the standard industrial series specifically designed for use in high quality record decks which utilise the belt drive principle. Particular attention has been given to the magnetisation of the 24 pole rotor to optimise smooth running. This, together with the high accuracy of stator pole placement minimises torque ripple and provides low audible noise. The motor which is designed for mounting horizontally with output shaft vertically up is provided with an increased length 3mm diameter shaft to aid fitting of the drive pulley. When fitting the drive pulley the shaft rear end should be supported to ensure that the axial load limitation is not exceeded. The windings have been specifically designed to facilitate dual voltage operation, a 6.8K Ohm resistor being used in series when operating from a 220Vac supply.
