P542-M48 series of ovoid geared stepper motors are high performance units providing output torque ratings up to 1Nm, and are ideal for Scientific and Medical instrumentation drives with a choice of 15 standard ratios from 25:6 to 250:1, with torques from 13.5-100Ncm. The P542-M48 series provides a combination of optimum performance and price for use in instrumentation applications that require digital control of position and speed. P542-M48 series of ovoid geared stepper motors have the same basic configuration and features of the P535 units above.

Choice of high quality spur gearheads providing holding torque ratings up to 7Nm, for hybrid stepper, DC Servo, Brushless DC and permanent magnet motors. The MRIG series gearheads have been designed for use in heavy duty instrumentation or light duty industrial drive applications. The combination of a hardened metal spur gear train coupled with a precision die-cast housing results in a robust design with a high torque transmission capability. A key feature of the MRIG design is its ability to accept standard motor shafts without the need for modification. This enables a wide range of motors including NEMA size 23 stepper motors to be fitted directly to the unit while DC and Brushless Servo motors are fitted using a simple mounting adapter. Gear strength is a key feature of the MRIG design. The use of steel gears and pinions with carefully selected hardness grades ensures a high torque transmission capacity and long life while a robust precision diecast metal housing offers excellent protection in industrial installations. In its standard form MRIG gearheads are provided with heavy duty sleeve bearing on the output shaft, whilst ball bearings are available to special order.

MRIG geared permanent magnet stepper motors provide an excellent combination of low cost and reliable operation, with a choice of gear ratios that enables the design engineer to choose a resolution ideally suited to the best requirements. As well as providing increased resolution and torque, the use of an MRIG gearhead increases the motors capability to handle high inertia loads. Since the load inertia reflected at the motors shaft is reduced by the square of the gearbox ratio.

Robust units suitable for heavy duty instrumentation or light duty industrial drives. Torque ratings up to 7Nm and ratio options from 5-500:1. The combination of the MRIG gearhead and HS series hybrid stepper motor provides excellent performance together with high resolution. The units are therefore ideally suited to a wide variety of high performance instrumentation and light industrial applications. When operated in the preferred half step drive mode the units provide a choice of resolutions from 2,000 to 200,000 steps per resolution. HS or HSX motors may be driven from 4 phase Uni-polar or 2 phase Bi-polar drive circuits and are available with matched drives, power supplies and controllers to enable a complete motion control system to be readily constructed. They have the same basic configuration and features of the MRIG Spur Gearboxes above.

The IP series gearheads have been designed to provide long life in industrial automation, industrial, scientific and process control applications that require repetitive cycling featuring high dynamics, accurate velocity or positional control. Advanced manufacturing techniques, combined with a design focused on the needs of state of the art motion control has resulted in a combination of optimised performance characteristics combined with economic prices. Suitable for use with M35 and M66 series motors.  Typical backlash < 30 arc mins.  There is a choice of standard ratios from 4:1 to 10,000:1, with torques from 3.3 - 20Ncm, with other ratios readily available to special order, see the IP43 and IP57 Series datasheet for the full specification.

Low backlash of typically 6 arc minutes with maximum torque ratings up to 200Nm. Suitable for high accuracy positioning applications using standard NEMA 23 and 34 frame motors. HP precision planetary gearboxes are the optimum choice where high accuracy positioning is needed in applications that require high torque or those which involve the movement of high inertia loads. The combination of low backlash, high strength with the ability to withstand emergency torque loads 250% of the quoted maximum values, and a service life in excess of 20,000 hours make HP series gearboxes the ideal choice where long life and precise control is required.
