SP+ / SP+ HIGH SPEED® - The New Generation of Classic Precision
The SP+® and /SP+ High Speed Planetary Gearheads are smooth running helical geared units, with the noise emission of the SP+® being 6 dB(A) lower than that of our already quiet SP line, making the SP+® four times quieter still. What's more, vibration is dramatically reduced. The SP+® provides a new world of precision in a standard gearhead. We've reduced the torsional backlash, and can further offer you less than one arc-minute of backlash on request, dramatically increasing positioning accuracy. alpha had new seals developed exclusively for the SP+®, with optimized material and geometry, to provide true IP65 (optional IP66) protection.
In addition, the output bearing capacity has been improved to surpass anything else in its class. Thus, the The SP+® provides a world-class lifespan. Regardless of how your The SP+® is mounted, it always has the same amount of oil, eliminating the need to specify mounting position when ordering. LP+ / LPB+ - The Value Line
LP+/LPB+ Value Line gearheads are economical to purchase, unbeatably efficient in operation and - thanks to a unique lubrication concept - absolutely maintenance free throughout their service life. With the stamina of a top athlete LP+/LPB+ Value Line gearheads are renowned for their endurance - in cyclic or continuous duty. It makes no difference to LP+/LPB+ Value Line whether you mount it vertically or horizontally or with the output on top or on the bottom. You get all the design freedom you require. Although the predecessor gearhead already offers excellent performance, we have succeeded in increasing the torques of the LP+/LPB+ Value Line - with peak values of up to 12 %.
LP+/LPB+ Value Line gearheads achieve more than 95% efficiency at full load. The gearheads in the LPB+ Value Line series can also be equipped with a timing belt pulley, with consistently high performance guaranteed. LPB+ - the perfect solution for all timing belt applications. LPB+ is equally impressive when it comes to the inside and outside centering of the gearheads. This unique drive concept avoids complicated connecting structures and cuts costs. The two-stage gearhead restricts torsional backlash to less than 10 arc minutes, while the single-stage version offers less than 8 arc minutes.

MP57 Series planetary gearboxes
The MP57 gearboxes are ideally suited as NEMA 23 gearheads for stepper, brushless and servo motors. The MP57 series gearbox incorporates NEMA 23 mounting flanges with robust 1/2in diameter keyed shafts, supported on large output bearings allowing high radial and axial loads. They are rated at up to 30Nm continuous torque, with an intermittent peak of 50Nm being permissible. Backlash is as low as 20 arc minutes, and efficiency levels of up to 92% can be realised. A wide range of exact gear ratios from 3:1 to 10,000:1 are available, with the most popular ratios available from stock. There is an extensive array of adaptor designs which make the MP57 suitable for use with all standard servo and stepper motors and many non-standard types too. Applications include precision OEM positioning systems and a number of light industrial special-purpose machines, where the combination of good precision and low cost combine to make this new series ultra-competitive.
