P5 series high precision instrument gearheads P5 Series High Precision Instrument Gearheads

P5 series high precision instrument gearheads conform to the international ovoid standard. The P5 Series gearheads have established a reputation for excellent running consistency, strength and reliability and have been specifically engineered to enable a wide range of permanent magnet stepper motors, AC Synchronous and instrument DC Servo Motors to be readily fitted. The P5 series gearheads incorporate precision spur cut brass gears and steel pinions mounted on spindles running in bronze alloy bearings featuring lubrication reservoirs for extended life, control accuracy and high dynamic performance. P5 series gearheads readily accept a wide range of motors and offer a comprehensive programme of options including integral torque limiting clutches and freewheels. These, together with three standard shaft options and the ability to offer customised versions make P5 series gearheads an ideal choice where precision control of a wide variety of mechanisms with high control accuracy is required.

MRIG Series Spur Gearboxes, MRIG02 MRIG06 MRIG11 MRI17 MRIG22 MRIG23 MRIG34 MRIG Series Spur Gearboxes

Choice of high quality spur gearheads providing holding torque ratings up to 7Nm, for hybrid stepper, DC Servo, Brushless DC and permanent magnet motors. The MRIG series gearheads have been designed for use in heavy duty instrumentation or light duty industrial drive applications. The combination of a hardened metal spur gear train coupled with a precision die-cast housing results in a robust design with a high torque transmission capability. A key feature of the MRIG design is its ability to accept standard motor shafts without the need for modification. This enables a wide range of motors including NEMA size 23 stepper motors to be fitted directly to the unit while DC and Brushless Servo motors are fitted using a simple mounting adapter. Gear strength is a key feature of the MRIG design. The use of steel gears and pinions with carefully selected hardness grades ensures a high torque transmission capacity and long life while a robust precision diecast metal housing offers excellent protection in industrial installations. In its standard form MRIG gearheads are provided with heavy duty sleeve bearing on the output shaft, whilst ball bearings are available to special order.

  • Features include -
  • 8mm diameter output shaft
  • Torque ratings of 1.5Nm to 7.0Nm
  • 8 standard ratios from 5:1 to 500:1
  • Standard sleeve bearings or Ball bearings to order
  • MRIG has been designed to fit a wide range of motors including -
  • Brushless DC motors
  • High torque reversible AC synchronous types
  • Permanent magnet and hybrid stepper motors
  • DC Servo motors with optional brake, encoder or tachogenerator
S30 and S60 series spur gearboxes S30 and S60 Series High Torque Spur Gearboxes

The S30 and S60 gearbox programme of high performance spur gearboxes are designed to provide a long life when used with AC Synchronous, Stepper and DC Servo motors. The units offer a wide choice of exact gear ratios from 5:1 to 250:1 and utilise steel gears and pinions to provide high torque transmission capability. The S30 and S60 Series High Torque Spur Gearboxes are equipped with ball race bearings on the output to withstand high radial loadings, with the S60 units also being equipped with additional ball bearings on the penultimate stage for increased life under high torque conditions.

  • Key features -
  • 8 standard ratios from 5:1 to 250:1
  • ball race bearings on output stages
  • Able to withstand high radial loads, torque ratings to 8Nm
  • Suitable for DC Servo, Brushless DC and Stepper Motors
  • 9.525mm (3/8in) diameter output shaft(
