Mclennan Servo supplies are the UK's system integrator offering Delta Tau's PMAC (Programmable Multi Axis Controller), the foundation behind the Delta Tau family of board level machine controllers. The Delta Tau system controller is a customised UMAC system configured to your application with built-in I/O and power supplies within a 19in enclosed system cabinet. All systems communicate with high-speed USB, Ethernet or MACRO to a host computer, whilst the 3U UMAC system simplifies wiring and installation and allowing configuration of a machine control system for various applications.

MACRO is Delta Tau's acronym for Motion and Control Ring Optical, and is a non-proprietary digital interface developed by Delta Tau for single wire connection between multi-axis motion controllers, amplifiers, and I/O through a fiber optic or twisted pair copper (RJ45 connector) ring. MACRO minimises wiring complexity, reduces hardware and eliminates noise in large systems. The high-speed 125 Mbits/sec transfer rate is capable of closing servo loops across the MACRO ring, allowing the flexibility to choose distributed intelligence or centralised control, with a complete set of software tools to develop applications quickly and effectively.

Brushless Systems Packaged Brushless Motor Systems

Brushless servo motor systems are based on "in-service proven" drives and controls that offer an ideal solution to a wide range of industrial, scientific and general mechanisation applications. Single and multi-axis systems can be constructed to meet customers needs providing output powers from 0.03 to 5k Watts per axis. Many of the drives have integral motion controllers that provide an optimum performance - cost ratio in industrial applications that require repetitive positioning cycles or multi-axis synchronisation. For more complex tasks, or where direct-on line communication is required, the powerful PM600 motion controller provides additional control features.

DC Servo Systems Packaged DC Servo Motor Systems

SM9000 series DC Servo Motor control systems are fully cased free standing units that are also suitable for mounting in a 19 in Rack system. Based on Mclennan in-service proven modular technology, the units incorporate a system power supply, servo amplifiers and powerful, yet easy to use, digital motion controllers. The use of modular technology ensures maximum flexibility in meeting customers needs together with improved serviceability All connections are via multi-pin connectors to provide a "plug and run" solution for a wide variety of industrial, scientific and laboratory applications that require accurate positioning of the driven mechanism.

Stepper Systems Packaged Stepper Motor Systems

The SM9000 series modular technology provides maximum system flexibility with high performance stepper motor control systems in standard robust EMC compliant enclosures with fan cooling suitable for free and rack mounting. SM9000 series stepper motor control systems are fully cased free standing units that are also suitable for mounting in a 19in Rack system. Based on Mclennans in-service proven modular technology the units incorporate a system power supply, high performance bi-polar drives and powerful, yet easy to use, digital motion controllers. The use of modular technology ensures maximum flexibility in meeting customers needs together with improved serviceability.
