Modern machines and plant engineering attaches more and more importance to decentralized automation, and CAM controls are a typical component of the decentralisation process. CAM controls takes over the fast control functions that were mostly carried out by mechanical solutions in older technologies. With the ever widening distribution of PC-based controls, the importance of ultra-fast modular CAM controls is still increasing, as they can take over many typical tasks previously performed by the central processor. With industrial communication via Fieldbus it is possible to distribute the intelligence within the machine or plant to the spot where it is required. In machine controls where a fast and frequent modification of process variables and switching points is important, electronic CAM controls offer essential advantages compared to other control solutions.

They are capable of processing position measurements from rotary encoders at extremely fast rates and in addition, they have a positive influence on the runtime performance of subsequent circuit components on account of their idle time compensation (Dynamic CAM). Both machine and plant engineers profit from this task sharing resource as modular concepts can be converted far better into practical solutions. The tasks of a central processor, whether it be PLC or PC-based control, can be reduced to the overall handling of the total process.

  • LOCON 24, 48, 64 - Multifunctional. 24 or 32 outputs, 64 programs, 2000 data item memory. Integrated operator control panel seven-segment display for position and speed, 2 line LCD with multilingual software. Option of 16 inputs for logic gating functions (simple PLC-function)
  • LOCON 32 - This unit has everything!. 4 axes for incremental encoders, 8 outputs for each axis, 32 outputs, 127 programs, interchangeable memory card. 8-line, high-resolution CCFL backlit LCD with multilingual support
  • ROTARNOCK with integrated Profibus-DP and MPI interface
  • ROTARNOCK 1 - 16 outputs, 16 programs and 2000 data records very closely resembling the performance of the conventional models such as LOCON 1 and LOCON 16
  • ROTARNOCK 2 - similar to the LOCON models 2 and 17, addition of automatic display changeover from position to rotation speed, optional bit or block serial idle time compensation
