Designed for incorporation in enclosed equipment the 23BLS series 2 motors provide a particularly economic solution to OEM users. Brushless construction combined with high grade ball bearings give an extended life in applications requiring variable speed or positional servo operation featuring rapid positioning. The units utilise a 3 phase design with hall effect commutation combined with an incremental encoder to enable accurate digital control to be utilised. When operated in a positional control loop a positioning resolution of 2000 counts per revolution is obtained. The 23BLS series motors are equipped with a mounting flange and shaft design compatible with the NEMA size 23 standard and therefore are physically interchangeable with hybrid stepper motors. When used with IPM series integrated drives a complete motion system can easily be constructed.

Broadly similar to the 23BLS-2 series motors (above), the 23BLS-1 motors are equipped with a robust end housing enclosing the encoder and are fitted with seperate multi-pin connectors for the motor and encoder. Designed for mounting in industrial and professional systems the 23BLS series 1 motors brushless construction combined with high grade ball bearings and enclosed encoder provide an extended life in arduose applications requiring variable speed or positional servo operation with rapid positioning. 3 phase design with hall effect commutation combined with an incremental encoder to enable accurate digital control to be utilised to a positioning resolution of 2000 counts per revolution. Equipped with a mounting flange and shaft design compatible with the NEMA size 23 standard and therefore physically interchangeable with hybrid stepper motors.

For higher torque requirements a 23BLS series Brushless DC Motors coupled to an HPE precision planetary gearbox provides torque to 45Nm (82Nm peak) with backlash down to 12 arc minutes. An ideal combination where increased torque is required at reduced operating speeds for high accuracy scientific, packaging, pick and place automation, welding, laser and general industrial automation.
